Extremely loyal, she's the best support anyone could hope to have, the worst enemy after a betrayal. Usually she's a bright whirlwind with an easy smile and a laugh. She's the kind of girl who would be the first to run barefoot through a sprinkler in a fancy dress just because it felt right or the girl to start a snowball fight at first snow – even as an adult. At the same time, she takes her photography seriously, using it as a way to explore her world around her. She's a hopeless romantic, and feels that her past life has given a tendency to hold out for a true white knight. top Appearance Blond and petite, Cassie stands at a mere five foot two but makes up for it with pure spunk and energy. Girl next door pretty, she had an adorableness all of her own. She has pale blond hair that had been curled, put in pigtails or left loose depending. Cassie is a quirky but stylish dresser, playing to her artistic nature and everyone agrees that she cleans up nice. Icy blue eyes stand out against her pale skin and her lips fall into an easy smile at the blink of an eye. Cassie grew up as the only child of a LAPD police officer and his stay at home wife. She spend much of her early years with her cousin Jimmy, beach babies to the core. When Cassie was three, tragedy struck. Her father was shot in the line of duty and her mother never completely got over it. Her mother eventually decided to go back to school and Cassie ended spending more and more time with her cousin as a result. They were both stories and came to the realization together. Cassie also became attached to her father's copy of The Outsiders, a book she adores to this day. top Chicago and Lakeside Preparatory Academy When Cassie was her ten, her mother took a job offer in Chicago, forcing them both to move. Cassie was particularly upset and has a difficult time adjusting. Photography began to become a way of dealing with things and she learned to explore the world through her camera. An excellent student and rising artists, she managed to get a scholarship to an elite school for her sixth grade year, It was there she met her best friend Leah White, and the two became inseparable even if they were a year apart. Cassie and Leah both ended up attending Lakeside Preparatory Academy and loved it. Cassie joined the newspaper staff and fell hard for fellow staffer Ian. Eventually, Ian asked her out and Cassie was smitten. Unfortunately, it didn't last. Cassie discovered that Ian was cheating on her with another girl. because she wouldn't put out. Cassie used her camera to get the evidence to confront Ian, but the other girl's upset boyfriend took it harder. Ian's fancy sports car was keyed and he turned the more elitist students against her. Cassie withdrew a little and then found herself falling for Leah's boyfriend's best friend, Chance Reed. At Leah's graduation, Cassie tried to get up the courage to tell Chance how she felt but failed, and carried the regret with her into the next school year. Cassie's senior year was the most difficult of all. Leah was attending college in LA. Ian's friends turned the school against her and she list the chance to be newspaper photo editor. She discovered that Chance had found a girlfriend in college and then Leah confided in her their greatest secret at all, that Leah's boyfriend Ryder had gotten her pregnant at graduation. Jamie was born later that spring and Cassie immediately became an aunt to him. top Smith College and Return to Chicago  Trouble, Cassie's beloved cat. Cassie was accepted into Smith College and looked to it as a chance to escape the heartache of Chicago, choosing to spend her vacation time in LA. She graduated in four years and found the opportunity to but a studio in Chicago where her mother still lived. Despite her painful memories, Cassie still felt a tug to Chicago and set up her studio, Crusader Photography there. She lives in an apartment above the studio with her cat, Trouble. She's run into Ryder several times professionally as he had become a journalist but has always kept Leah's secret.top What's the Story Introduction Cassie first appeared in flashback thread when she was taking pictures at a baseball game and Chance Reed came to her defense. top Second Chance Cassie found herself being pulled back to Chance Reed when she was called in to take pictures of an article Ryder was writing. Unknown to her, Ryder was aware of her crush on Chance and wanted to see if something was still there. Cassie found herself falling for him all over again and thought there was something between them several times. Unfortunately, two things began to interfere. A jealous model named Blake Quinn and Leah's secret. Leah's secret came out and Cassie began to think she's lost Chance forever, but the two managed to reconcile over their desire to see Leah and Ryder work things out. Ryder was injured in a motorcycle accident and urged Cassie to tell Chance how she felt rather than to live with regrets like he had with Leah.
